hold your head .. up high
and don't be afraid of the dark
at the end of the storm,
there's a golden sky .. and
the sweet, silver song of a lark
You'll Never Walk Alone is a song written by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein for musical Carousel (1945). Then it was recorded by many popular artists, first charting in 1945 by Frank Sinatra, also Patti LaBelle and the BlueBelles version in 1964, and Elvis Presley's 1968. But the most famous outing, especially in England, was recorded in early 1960s by the Liverpudlian Merseybeat group "Gerry & the Pacemakers". It quickly became the anthem of Liverpool Football Club and sung by its supporters (Kops) before the start and at the end of each game in their stadium, The Anfield.

walk on .. through the wind,
walk on .. through the rain,
though your dreams be tossed and blown
walk on, walk on with hope in your heart,
and you'll never walk alone
you'll never walk .. alone.
